About TwinkleLab
TwinkleLab is a free, browser-based guitar studio for players who spend time outside standard tuning — Midwest emo and math rock, Celtic fingerstyle, slide blues, doom and metal. It exists because chord books for tunings like FACGCE, DADGAD or Open C are scarce, and most online chord charts only cover standard tuning — so every page here pairs a verified chord chart with a fretboard that can find any other chord you need.
How the chord shapes are made
The interactive chord finder generates voicings for any chord in any six-string tuning and filters them through a four-finger hand model: maximum fret span, barre logic, finger count and string muting. The chord charts on each tuning page are additionally checked note by note at build time — if a listed shape does not contain exactly the notes of the chord it claims to be, the site refuses to publish. That is why you will not find "close enough" shapes here.
How the site is funded
Everything on TwinkleLab is free with no account. The site is kept running by reader support on Ko-fi, and may show a small number of clearly separated ads and affiliate links for gear such as strings, capos and tuners. Affiliate links never change the price you pay, and recommendations are made on the merits of the gear for the tuning in question.
Privacy
Your tunings, progressions and settings are stored only in your own browser. The tuner processes microphone audio locally and never records or uploads it. See the privacy policy for details.
